According to the news, "A Walmart customer shopping around for a new wallet found 10 human teeth while looking through a wallet he was about to buy on Saturday night."
Why, that's worth over $30.00 on eBay!
That mysterious shopper must've felt like Cash & Kristofferson on Sunday mornin'.
1. It's possible to mysterious shopper put the teeth there himself. Or he may have found them there. Either way it's a weird tale? Foul-play? Prank? Symbolic rite?
ReplyDelete2. There are no bids yet on the ebay molars. Daurade has an appointment on March 20, however, to either repair or remove a split upper left molar.
3. Why Johnny Cash and Kristofferson?
Googling "ritual tooth removal" btw, shows one thing. Intentional tooth removal occurred in Neolithic Italy and proto-historic Japan, as well as sub-Saharan Africa. Haven't read the articles yet but it would appear that in some contexts it's more than crude dentistry but associated with some sort of ritual ablation....

ReplyDeleteVideo of the teeth here.
ReplyDeleteAlso just struck me as humorous that the teeth were found in a place called "Fall-mouth."
